Pippa Hynes

 I first was coached by Sian for powerlifting back at the end of 2019 until early/mid 2021 (with some time off during lockdown 1) in that time we managed to add 45kg to my total - which for my progress, is amazing.
 
A big challenge for me has always been confidence in my abilities, Sian is an incredibly supportive coach so has helped with this massively, but she will still tell you straight when it’s needed!
 
Sian has always been great at communication and you can really tell how much she cares about her clients and will do everything she can to help them achieve their goals. She has a vast knowledge of the sport and how each individual lifter’s needs can vary.
 
Currently, I’m slowly returning from an injury that caused me to have a lot of time off. Sian has been coaching me for bench only for the past 5 months, along with advising and supporting me with my rehabilitation work. We’ve managed to progress my bench back to my lifetime pb, while having to have my feet up on the bench due to the injury. I am very excited to see how much we can up my total when I’m recovered!

Jay Keenan

Even though I've only been with Sian for a few months, I feel like there's been a lot of improvement not only in terms of strength but also efficiency, safety and catering my technique towards powerlifting.
 
In terms of value I genuinely don't think she could offer anymore for the money. There are coaches out there that charge twice as much if not more and have less to offer than Sian does.
 
Collaboration has also been on point. She advertises her communication times but often I get feedback the same day or the day after. Even though the specific work needs to be done there's trust there for me to be autonomous when required but will also change things on the fly when necessary.
 
In a sport that is saturated with under/unqualified coaches I think the services and care that Sian provides are of a high standard and couldn't ask for anymore especially for what I pay

Brandon Lee

I reached out to Sian needing help with cutting weight for a competition, I only had a few days to get my weight down approximately 2kg without losing strength. She offered me a full plan for what to do each day before the competition. Helping with portioning food correctly so my weight would go down at a steady rate. Doing frequent check-ins and giving very fast feedback every time I had questions about what to do based on where my weight was each morning/evening. I ended up weighing in with much lighter than expected and had my best performance in a competition so far. I can’t recommend Sian enough for help with nutrition advice as it is an area that she has a lot of knowledge in and is always happy to help out.

Sian is a fantastic coach! We worked together online with a powerlifting programme and I could not have been happier with my experience. She provided a programme which was updated weekly, she always checked my form videos every week and answered my MANY questions. She was able to work with an injury I had prior to starting training which was great and she came to support me at a local competition. But best of all, in less than a year we were able to more than double my 1 rep maxes for all three lifts in less than a year! Sian is a kind, patient and extremely knowledgeable and supportive coach and I could not recommend her more highly.

She is supportive in so many ways and also very understanding of which I really appreciated in a coach as I am not the most easiest client but she always has a lot of patience which never went unnoticed, I can honestly say it never feels just like business but I have also made a friend in Sian who always offered support in my toughest moments in and outside the gym .

Grace Monk

I have been coached by Sian for a year now and she has supported me to progress at a rate I didn't realise I was capable of. She has personalized my training to fit around my long 12+ hour shifts and helped me to continue to train my lower body whilst recovering from a broken arm. Not only has her programming worked wonders but her comp day handling has been second to none and her wealth of experience really shows in the warm-up room.

I have also found Sian's nutritional coaching a massive help! She has allowed to me to take the lead in decisions about my nutrition and body weight, all whilst teaching me how to eat to optimize my performance and recovery. We have made very gradual changes to my diet and I have already felt the benefits in my strength and steady body recomposition.
Sian is a coach I can imagine myself working with for a very long time and I would recommend her programming and nutrition coaching for anyone looking for a coach who is both knowledgeable and incredibly experienced in the sport. If you're looking for programming that REALLY works, Sian is the woman!

I started with Sian after starting my powerlifting journey with a hip injury, bad coaching experience and a consequent fear of squatting. Even just after a couple months Sian not only improved my lifts massively but my confidence even more. The gym has become so much more enjoyable even when things don't always go to plan, she is their to give honest but supportive advice and find a route forward that fits for me!
